The exhibitions of the Sports Museum of Finland are closed during the renovation works of the Helsinki Olympic Stadium. Selected items from the collections will be put on display in other museums in Finland during that time. The Sports Museum will be reopened in renovated premises at the Olympic Stadium in 2019. 

Collection services of the Sports Museum are operating in temporary premises in Helsinki (Vanha talvitie 3 C) during this time.

Opening hours of collection services
Mo, Tu and Fr 9 a.m.–4 p.m.
We and Th 9 a.m.–7 p.m. 

Parking space (parking disc required) is available on Vanha talvitie, in the proximity of Kalasatama metro station and in the parking lot of the building. There is a private parking facility (AutoPark) on Työpajankatu.



Located on the 7th floor of the building, the Sports Museum is accessible by elevator or stairs.


Guide and assistance dogs are welcome in the premises of the Sports Museum.


Disabled parking space is available close to the entrance ”A” on Työpajankatu.


Entrance accessible by wheelchair is found behind the main door on the northern side of the building.

Coat hangers are found in the vestibule. Lockers are provided in the premises. 


The nearest bus stop is Kalasatama on Vanha talvitie (lines 55, 56). The bus lines 16, 50, 58 and 59 stop at Kalasatama metro station.
