Description: Rectangular, gilded. In relief a picture of Paavo Nurmi running, the Olympic rings and the text HELSINKI 1952. On the obverse the signature of Wäinö Aaltonen in relief. On the reverse side engraved the text: Maraton 27.7.1952. The medal is encased in a brown rectangular box. The inside of the box is furnished with white cloth and yellowish velvet. On the bottom of the box a paper sticker with the manufacturer’s logo: on a blue background a silver-coloured drawn bow and the text: “JOUSI Turku”.
Other information: According to Inva Oy a total of 227 medals were sold in the year 1952.
