Due to COVID-19 restrictions adopted by the Helsinki Metropolitan Area the Sports Museum of Finland is closed from 30 November 2020 to 31 January 2021. Our library and archives are also closed for public. We will monitor the situation and reopen our doors soon as possible.

SAFE MUSEUM VISIT DURING COVID-19 PANDEMIC

Please visit the Sports Museum only when you are feeling well. Keep a safe distance to other visitors and take care of hand hygiene. We advise you to wear a face mask inside the Museum premises.

The number of visitors inside the Sports Museum may be limited if necessary. The group sizes on our guided tours are also restricted. We have enhanced cleaning and sanitizing of our premises.

We follow the restrictions and recommendations of public authorities and general guidelines of Finnish museums.

There are a few free parking spaces for holders of disabled parking permits on the western side of the Sports Museum.

Parking and transport connections

Pysäköinti Urheilumuseolla

Parking spaces (for a fee) are found next to the Stadium Tower, on Urheilukatu and near Töölön kisahalli. Please note that Stadium events may cause changes to parking arrangements. The nearby Ice Arena offers four hours of free parking except on game days.

There are a few free parking spaces for holders of disabled parking permits on the western side of the Sports Museum.

 

 

Liikenneyhteydet raitiovaunu

The Sports Museum is easily reached by bus or tram. The closest stops are Töölön Kisahalli, Töölön kirjasto, Ooppera and Auroran sairaala. See more in the route guide of Helsinki Region Transport (HSL).

THE OLYMPIC STADIUM

The Visitor Center of the Olympic Stadium is open every day at the foot of the Stadium Tower.

Access to the indoor facilities of the Stadium, the Stadium Tower and the restaurant Bistro Stadion is through the Visitor Center. Guided tours to the Stadium also start at the Visitor Center. The tour includes admission and guided visit to the Sports Museum.
